OrganisationOverviewMCCR consists of a General Council made up of representatives of Affiliate Organisations and Individual Members. The General Council elects an Executive Committee which in turn elects Honorary Officers. MCCR Honorary PostionsPresident

Management CommitteeThe Board of MCCR is the Management Committee which is elected from delegates from various affiliated organisations (2 per organisation) and individual members. The process of co-options is used to ensure a balanced Committee. Consultant Observers are invited to sit on Management Committee to give advice on strategic issues (e.g. Police, Churches and other specialists). The Honorary Officers for 2007-2008Mr. Mike Hendrickson LLB (Chair)Mr. Hendrickson represents the Leeward Islands People's Association. He is one of the early members of MCCR, having previously chaired the Employment Sub-Committee. He was also instrumental in setting up the Community Housing Association in the 1980's. He is active within the Lions Movement, and is a previous Governor of the Lions Club International District 105BN. Mrs. Joy Doyley (Vice-Chair)Mrs Doyley represents the Jamaica Society and she has been a member of MCCR for many years. She is very active in promoting equal opportunities for all Black and Ethnic Minority communities. In the past she has also worked for the Manchester Deaf Centre. Mr. Geremy Phillips BA (Hon. Secretary)Mr. Phillips represents the Trades Union Council. He is a member of Equity and champions all equalities issues. He is involved in promoting community relations at all levels. He has been on MCCR's committees for many years. He currently chairs the Membership Panel. Mr. Tony Durrant JP (Treasurer)Mr. Durrant is an individual member of MCCR. He has been a member for a number of years and is actively involved in overseeing MCCR finances. He is an active member of the community and is a board member of a number of local and national organisations, i.e. Black Health Agency, African Caribbean Mental Health Service, Black Training and Enterprise Group, etc. He is originally from Grenada in the Caribbean.
