In 2011, MCCR received a grant from the Department of Health 'Reaching out to Carers' Innovation Fund to develop an effective model to identify and support New and Hidden Parent, Elderly and Young Asian Carers. In order to support carers and make appropriate referrals, we needed accurate up to date information on relevant local and national carers’ services.

As there are a limited and reducing number of support services, we decided that web based information would be a valuable tool for both carers and support staff. We, therefore, created web based information on and links to all known local carers’ services, however small, and national websites offering key carers’ information, divided into types of services.
